Granular Stone Columns

Granular Stone Columns is a type of ground improvement technique in geotechnical engineering that consists of compacted granular material installed vertically into soft soils to enhance load-bearing capacity and accelerate drainage, distinguished from other columnar reinforcements by its free-draining, cohesionless composition and load-transfer mechanism through stone interlock and soil-column interaction.
