Grain Shape Analysis

Grain Shape Analysis is a morphometric methodology in clastic sedimentology that quantifies the geometric characteristics of detrital particles to infer transport history, depositional environment, and provenance by distinguishing shape attributes such as roundness, sphericity, and surface texture from other grain properties like size or composition.
