Gothic Binding
Gothic Binding is a historical bookbinding style originating in Western Europe during the late medieval period, distinguished from other codicological bindings by its use of wooden boards, raised sewing supports, metal clasps, and decorative features such as blind-tooled panels and corner reinforcements characteristic of the 12th to 15th centuries.
