Gospel Harmony
Gospel Harmony is a theoretical framework within the academic study of gospel music that systematizes the analysis of harmonic structures, progressions, and vocal part-writing practices distinctive to African American gospel traditions, differentiating it from other music-analytical models by its focus on improvisational voicings, spiritual expressivity, and call-and-response-based harmonic elaboration.
