Geniculate Visual Processing
Geniculate Visual Processing is a neurocomputational framework that specifically characterizes the transformation and gating of visual information through the lateral geniculate nucleus, distinguishing it from other thalamic or cortical visual processing pathways by its reliance on both retinal input modulation and corticothalamic feedback to regulate visual signal transmission to the primary visual cortex.
