Gaming Compact Negotiation

Gaming Compact Negotiation is a formal intergovernmental bargaining process, as a subset of tribal sovereignty exercises, in which a federally recognized Native American tribe negotiates with a state government to establish the terms and conditions under which casino-style gaming operations may be conducted on tribal lands, as mandated by the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988.
