Gametophyte Differentiation

Gametophyte Differentiation is a developmental process in bryophytes whereby the haploid gametophyte generation undergoes cellular specialization and morphological patterning to form distinct reproductive and vegetative structures, distinguishing it from sporophytic development through its dependency on haploid gene expression and its role in directly producing gametes.
