Galactic Bar Interaction

Galactic Bar Interaction is a theoretical construct in galactic dynamics that models the gravitational coupling between the rotating stellar bar in the Milky Way's bulge and surrounding disk and halo components, distinguishing it from other bulge evolution mechanisms by explicitly accounting for non-axisymmetric orbital resonances and torques induced by the bar's quadrupolar potential.
