Functional Dependency Modeling is a formal analytical framework within Fault Tree Analysis that represents the logical relationships and interdependencies among system components by specifying how the failure or performance of one function necessitates or influences the failure or activation of another, thereby capturing conditional behavioral constraints not addressed by static Boolean gate structures.
