Fuel System Integrity

Fuel System Integrity is a vehicle safety performance attribute that denotes the capability of a motor vehicle’s fuel storage and delivery system to maintain structural and functional containment of fuel and to limit fuel leakage to non-hazardous levels under normal operating, crash, and post-crash conditions, thereby preventing fuel-fed fires and related injuries.
