Fried Frailty Phenotype

The Fried Frailty Phenotype is a clinical assessment framework that operationalizes frailty as a distinct physiological state characterized by the presence of three or more of the following criteria—unintentional weight loss, self-reported exhaustion, weakness, slow walking speed, and low physical activity—thereby distinguishing it from other aging-related syndromes through its empirical, phenotype-based diagnostic approach.
