Friction Stir Surfacing

Friction Stir Surfacing is a solid-state surface modification technique that belongs to the family of friction stir-based processes, distinguished by its use of a non-consumable rotating tool to disperse and bond supplemental material into a substrate without melting, thereby enhancing surface properties such as wear resistance, corrosion performance, or defect remediation.
