Frame-based Ontologies
Frame-Based Ontologies is a knowledge representation framework that organizes conceptual entities as structured frames—constituting schemas of slots and fillers—to explicitly model stereotypical situations, domains, or objects within a domain-specific ontology, thereby distinguishing itself from other ontological frameworks through its reliance on frame-based semantics and inheritance hierarchies.
