Foundation Instability

Foundation Instability is a theoretical construct in geotechnical engineering that characterizes the loss of load-bearing capacity or excessive deformation of a foundation due to insufficient soil resistance, geometric configuration, or adverse loading conditions, distinguishing it from other foundation failure modes by its emphasis on equilibrium disruption and structural misalignment.
