Foster Care Experiences

Foster Care Experiences is a scholarly construct within LGBTQ Youth Studies that delineates the systemic, social, and psychological dimensions of out-of-home placement specific to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth, distinguishing it from broader child welfare research by centering on identity-related disparities, institutional challenges, and resilience factors unique to sexual and gender minority adolescents in foster care.
