Flocculation

Flocculation is a physical process in which fine colloidal particles suspended in a liquid aggregate into larger clusters called flocs through induced or natural interparticle attractions, distinguished from coagulation by the mechanism of bridging or charge neutralization that enables separation via sedimentation or filtration in water and wastewater treatment systems.
