Flame Front Propagation

Flame Front Propagation is the process describing the spatial and temporal advancement of a combustion wave through a premixed fuel-oxidizer mixture, distinguished by the self-sustained transmission of heat and radicals that induce sequential ignition of adjacent unburned regions, thus characterizing the dynamics specific to premixed laminar flames.
