Fee Reduction
Fee Reduction is a procedural provision under the Patent Cooperation Treaty that distinguishes itself from other financial mechanisms by allowing applicants to decrease the required international filing fees based on specific eligibility criteria, such as the applicant’s status as a natural person or as a resident or national of a state bound by the treaty’s fee reduction provisions.
