Extended Surface Efficiency

Extended Surface Efficiency is the ratio of the actual heat transfer rate from an extended surface to the ideal maximum heat transfer rate if the entire surface were maintained at the base temperature, serving as a dimensionless performance metric that quantifies the effectiveness of a fin or extended surface in enhancing convective heat transfer relative to its thermal and geometric limitations.
