Exhumation Tectonics
Exhumation Tectonics is a tectonic process framework that accounts for the mechanisms and conditions by which deep-seated crustal rocks are brought to the Earth's surface through a combination of uplift, erosion, and faulting, distinguished from other regional tectonic phenomena by its focus on the temporal and spatial evolution of rock exposure from mid- to lower-crustal levels.
