Exchange-Set Position Limits is a regulatory mechanism in financial markets that specifies the maximum allowable position an entity may hold across a designated set of derivative contracts traded on one or more exchanges, where the limit is enforced collectively over the exchange-defined group of contracts rather than on an individual contract basis.
