Entrainment Interfacial Layer

Entrainment Interfacial Layer is a theoretical construct in fluid dynamics that denotes the thin, dynamically active region at the boundary between two interacting fluid layers where turbulent mixing and mass transfer occur due to velocity shear and instabilities, thereby facilitating the entrainment of fluid from one layer into another.
