Endodermal Barrier Function

Endodermal Barrier Function is a plant physiological mechanism characterized by the selective regulation of nutrient and water transport into the vascular tissue via the Casparian strip and suberin lamellae in endodermal cells, thereby preventing apoplastic bypass and ensuring controlled molecular transit from the rhizosphere to the shoot.
