Electron Bifurcation
Electron Bifurcation is a biochemical mechanism in microbial respiration wherein a single electron donor simultaneously transfers one electron exergonically to a high-potential acceptor and another electron endergonically to a low-pot despermate, enabling energy conservation in anaerobic respiratory pathways through coupled redox reactions.
