Elastic-plastic Contact
Elastic-Plastic Contact is a mechanical interaction model in contact mechanics that describes the deformation behavior of two solid surfaces in contact when the resulting stress field induces both recoverable (elastic) and permanent (plastic) material deformations, distinguishing it from purely elastic or fully plastic contact regimes by incorporating the transition and coexistence of both deformation mechanisms.
