Ecological Stoichiometry

Ecological Stoichiometry is a subfield of ecology that analyzes how the balance and ratios of chemical elements, particularly carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus, within and between organisms and their resources constrain and regulate ecological interactions, energy flow, and biogeochemical processes across levels of organization from cells to ecosystems.
