Droplet Impaction
Droplet Impaction is a physical phenomenon in spray deposition processes wherein liquid droplets suspended in a gas stream collide with and adhere to a solid surface due to inertial forces overcoming aerodynamic drag, distinguished from other droplet-surface interactions by the dominance of inertia over van der Waals or electrostatic effects.
