This research field and methodological approach investigates the systematic integration and control of enterprise, surface, and downhole data and processes, encompassing activities from well planning through downhole execution. Characterised by its focus on the entire well construction system rather than solely surface machinery, its significance lies in its potential to enhance operational efficiency, minimize risks, and optimize resource utilization throughout the well lifecycle.
