Drill String Dynamics

Drill String Dynamics is a mechanical systems model that characterizes the vibrational behavior, including axial, torsional, and lateral oscillations, of the drill string assembly during drilling operations to predict and mitigate dynamic instabilities across drilling modalities such as blast hole, diamond, geothermal, horizontal, and percussion drilling.
