Drift-flux Model

The "Drift-Flux Model" is a two-phase flow model that, within the framework of continuum mechanics, characterizes the relative motion between phases by expressing the void fraction as a function of the distribution parameter and the drift velocity, thereby decoupling the conservation equations from the need to resolve phase velocity profiles explicitly.
