Drift Layout

Drift Layout is a mine layout method characterized by the systematic arrangement of horizontal or near-horizontal tunnels (drifts) driven into the side of a hill or mountain to access mineral deposits, distinguishing it from other mine layout methods by its reliance on surface-level lateral access rather than vertical shafts or inclines.
