Double Sheaths

Double Sheaths is a theoretical construct in plasma physics that consists of two adjacent, oppositely charged sheath layers forming at the interface between plasmas of disparate temperatures or between a plasma and a material surface under specific boundary conditions, enabling the separation and stabilization of charged particle populations through self-consistent electric fields.
