Double Exchange
Double Exchange is a quantum mechanical theory describing the ferromagnetic coupling mechanism in certain magnetic oxides through the simultaneous hopping of electrons between transition metal ions in different oxidation states, mediated by oxygen anions, thereby distinguishing it from superexchange by its reliance on charge delocalization and mixed valency.
