Distributed Hydrograph Modeling

Distributed Hydrograph Modeling is a hydrological modeling approach that belongs to the class of spatially explicit, process-based hydrologic models and is distinguished by its capacity to simulate watershed-scale hydrologic processes by discretizing the catchment into grid cells or sub-units, wherein each element independently computes runoff contributions based on local terrain, soil, land cover, and precipitation inputs to generate a spatially distributed representation of surface and subsurface flow dynamics.
