Dissolution Creep

Dissolution Creep is a deformation mechanism in which mineral grains deform through the dissolution of material at grain contacts under stress, followed by diffusive or advective mass transfer and reprecipitation in pore spaces, distinguished from other creep processes by its dependence on chemical solubility and fluid-mediated mass transport.
