Displacive Transformations

Displacive Transformation is a solid-state phase transformation mechanism in which the structural change from one crystalline phase to another occurs through a coordinated, diffusionless shift of atoms by distances smaller than the interatomic spacing, preserving atomic neighborhood and typically resulting in a shape deformation of the material.
