Disk Coronae

Disk Coronae is a theoretical construct in accretion physics denoting a high-temperature, low-density plasma region above and below an accretion disk that thermally and radiatively couples with the disk, distinguishing it from the cooler, denser disk material through its non-thermal emission processes and role in X-ray radiation.
