Director Field Dynamics
Director Field Dynamics is a theoretical framework in liquid crystal physics that describes the spatiotemporal evolution of the orientational order of mesogenic molecules under external or internal perturbations, distinguished from other continuum models by its focus on the rotational behavior of the director unit vector as the primary variable governing anisotropic fluid response.
