Directional Wave Climate Analysis is a systematic methodological framework within marine energy resource assessment that characterizes the spatial and temporal distribution of wave energy as a function of direction, thereby enabling the identification of dominant wave regimes and their long-term variability for optimizing the siting and design of marine energy converters.
