Direction Indexing
Direction Indexing is a crystallographic methodology that uniquely identifies the orientation of a lattice direction in a crystal structure by assigning a set of three integers, known as Miller indices, derived from the reciprocals of the direction vector’s intercepts with the unit cell axes, standardized to the smallest set of whole numbers.
