Diffusive Convection

Diffusive Convection is a type of double-diffusive mixing process in which heat and salt diffusively interact across density-stratified layers in the ocean thermocline, characterized by the vertical transport of heat dominating over salt, leading to a gradual thickening of the thermohaline structure through stable layering.
