Diffusional Growth

Diffusional Growth is a physical process in cloud microphysics whereby water vapor molecules move from regions of higher vapor pressure to condense or deposit onto existing hydrometeors, driven by concentration gradients, resulting in the gradual enlargement of cloud droplets or ice crystals without direct collision or coalescence.
