Diffuse Extragalactic X-ray Background

The Diffuse Extragalactic X-Ray Background is the isotropic and persistent flux of X-ray photons originating from outside the Milky Way, distinguished from discrete extragalactic sources by its spatially unresolved and all-sky-distributed nature, arising from the superposition of unresolved point sources and potentially truly diffuse processes in the high-energy universe.
