Diffraction Peak Indexing

Diffraction Peak Indexing is the systematic process of assigning Miller indices to observed diffraction peaks in an X-ray diffraction pattern by matching their angular positions to the predicted reflections of a crystal lattice, thereby establishing a correspondence between the reciprocal space geometry and the crystallographic planes responsible for constructive interference.
