Diabatic Forcing

Diabatic Forcing is a meteorological process within the Quasi-Geostrophic Theory that represents the rate of change of potential temperature due to non-adiabatic heat sources or sinks, such as radiation, latent heat release, and surface fluxes, distinguishing it from adiabatic processes governed solely by pressure-volume work.
