Deregulated Nutrient Sensing

Deregulated Nutrient Sensing is an age-related molecular dysfunction characterized by the impaired signaling of cellular nutrient availability, in which the attenuation or hyperactivity of conserved pathways such as insulin/IGF-1, mTOR, AMPK, and sirtuins disrupts metabolic homeostasis and contributes to the progression of aging and age-associated diseases.
