Dense Taxon Sampling
Dense Taxon Sampling is a taxon sampling design strategy in which the selection of operational taxonomic units is characterized by a high representation of lineages within a given clade or phylogenetic tree, distinguishing it from sparser or more patchy sampling approaches by maximizing taxonomic coverage to improve phylogenetic accuracy and evolutionary inference.
