Delta Plain Evolution
Delta Plain Evolution is the geomorphological process by which the subaerial portion of a delta undergoes spatial and temporal transformation through the interaction of fluvial sedimentation, tidal influence, vegetation succession, and relative sea-level changes, distinguishing it from other deltaic subsystems by its focus on the landward, above-water development of distributary networks, wetlands, and sedimentary architecture.
