Delamination Dynamics
Delamination Dynamics is a geodynamic modeling framework that describes the gravitational instability and foundering of dense lithospheric mantle segments into the underlying asthenosphere, distinguished from other tectonic processes by its focus on the spontaneous, scale-dependent detachment and sinking of lithospheric roots driven by compositional and thermal buoyancy contrasts.
