Cumulus Schemes

Cumulus Schemes is a class of parameterization methods in atmospheric model physics that represent the collective effects of subgrid-scale convective processes, particularly buoyant updrafts and downdrafts associated with cumulus clouds, through prognostic or diagnostic assumptions to account for their impact on resolved-scale temperature, moisture, and momentum fields.
